Steve has volunteered for many years in youth training, healthcare and education, mentoring students in his long career on the front line of the NHS, working as a rapid response paramedic.

Treating patients and working alongside fellow healthcare professionals and providers gave him a chance to experience the multi-faceted world of pre-hospital care provision. Alongside his wife Jo, Steve will endeavour to transfer to the charity sector these skills as a representative of Cure Usher and as a passionate advocate for those living with Usher syndrome.
