USHER SYNDROME AWARENESS RIBBONS
Launched in December 2020, our ribbon is a simple act of support and solidarity for those affected by Usher syndrome.
Families and friends, healthcare professionals and associates can proudly wear our ribbon all year round but are especially encouraged to show the stripes and champion the chequers around the 2nd March to celebrate the birth of Charles Usher, the Scottish ophthalmologist who initially described Usher syndrome in 1914.
The stripes represent the red stripes on the mobility cane, the chequers represent the red squares on the guide dog harness that signify the user is identified as hearing impaired too, a striking way to help raise awareness, raise funds and show your support!
Currently, we invite a donation of £3 including postage for each ribbon.
